- Bright Spark - 15.2hh 2013 gelding Only for sale due to rider starting exams and can’t find the time to give him the ride he needs. Teddy is an extremely talented bay Warmblood x Welsh C that could move up the levels in any sphere with the right rider. Ted has done a bit of everything including eventing, dressage, showjumping, hunting, camps, fun rides, clinics etc. He has been to stay aways and camps and has always settled extremely quickly and continues to be on top form throughout. Ted is a super smart mover and goes beautifully on the flat with beautiful and balanced paces with tons of movement. We’ve owned teddy since a 6yo and he has always been very consistent within the whiteboards always scoring high, he’s competed in BD and is adored by the judges, he has proved he could really make a good dressage horse if chosen to go down that route. He’s very trainable and picks up things quickly. Ted has qualified for area festivals on multiple occasions and as well as this, he has a huge amount of scope, and is very neat and careful over any jump. He has run cross-country whilst eventing and has been cross-country schooling on many occasions and will jump a wide variety of fences including hedges, skinnies, corners, ditches, water etc. Teddy has competed up to 90-95cm but has jumped 1.15+ at home. He could definitely be out competing at bigger levels with time and the right rider. Ted has hacked out and galloped with all types of horses including younger inexperienced ones and has always been patient and has really shown them the ropes. This being said we feel as though he really enjoys hunting the most, he’s never stopped or ran out of a fence out on a meet and loves to be around other horses. He can be strong whilst setting off but once he’s had a gallop he soon settles down. He’s been over ditches, logs, fences, hedges, up and down banks, etc when out and is perfect on the road. He’s also perfect up front and is not phased by hounds. Ted would need a strong, confident rider when outside of the arena that wouldn’t let him get away with anything in order to really achieve his potential. However inside the arena especially when schooling he is a dream to work in so many ways. This doesn’t necessarily mean he needs an older rider as he is ridden/competed by a 16-year-old girl but someone with experience to achieve the most with him. Ted will continue to gain more experience and will carry on being taken out on many different outings especially hunting and hound exercises so will be fit and ready to start his new journey. He is a pleasure to have around and is great to shoe, catch, load and is excellent to clip, he is also happy to travel alone or in company etc. He can be turned out with any horse or individually and has never been sick or sorry. He has been ridden in a nose net this summer but only for a very short time. He is available to come with a full wardrobe at an extra cost. This includes a Fairfax jump saddle, Albion dressage saddle, flex-on stirrups, girth, bridle, bit which have all been fitted to him and all rugs etc. Very sad sale of a much loved horse so serious enquiries only, endless amounts of photos and videos are available on request.
