- We have made the heartbreaking 😫💔decision to find a new 🏠 for Allen, sadly outgrown sooner than we would have liked and sadly we haven't room to keep him or believe me I would! Absolute mothers dream, 14.1hh approx, 8 yrs old we've had him since he was 4 and newly broken. Anybody looking for a confidence giver look no further, he has brought my daughter on soo much especially in the last year, she now hacks out on her own with him and I know that I have nothing to worry about. He hacks alone and in large groups and nothing phases him. Easy to handle on the ground, will stand for hours to be groomed and fussed, good to clip (we fully clip him over winter ourselves), will happily live in or out and is a good 'doer', fab for the farrier, just had front shoes on this year for the first time and didn't bat an eyelid. Loads into a trailer or wagon and travels well and will stand all day on the box with a haynet. He LOVES his food and can sometimes be a little bargy if he knows there's some about but once checked he is fine. Allen has just this summer been to his first PC camp where he had a fab week and took it all in his stride, he came away now known as Allen the Legend! He has been to the beach which he loves, done hunt rides (though not hunted yet but we will if we still have him), always placed at unaffiliated dressage and last year came 2nd by 1 point in the overall championship, jumping he can sometimes be a little green but improves the more he does. If he is allowed to he'll plod along at his own pace but will happily step up a gear when needed. Allen has never reared or bolted, he attempts a buck sometimes when Eva gees him up but Allens version of a buck his back feet hardly leave the ground :) Lovely conformation and stunning markings in the right home he would possibly make a lovely WHP, clean limbs etc similarly I think if he was at full fitness he would be a cracking hunting pony. For us he has just been a perfect all rounder and as said before this is a heartbreaking decision. Happy to have further discussions with anybody who is 100 % interested, a 10 star home is very important to us, however serious enquiries only no timewasters!
