- Lady - 13h 6yo mare. Lovely nature, very quiet and calm to handle and be around on the yard. Well mannered and never bolshy. Ultimate happy hacker - she is a complete saint out on a hack, good enough for mum or nan to ride! Good in traffic and happy alone or in company. Will plod out on a hack all day! Lady is fab to ride - always in a snaffle, never strong. Will start to work in an outline but equally happy just riding around the school too. Listens to the leg well, I wouldn’t call her lazy/kickalong but equally she isn’t whizzy in the slightest, she simply does as she’s asked. Stands still to mount. Doesn’t buck, rear, nap or tank off. Enjoys her jumping and showing lots of scope. She hasn’t done much jumping so learning the ropes but I can see her being a jumping super cob if someone wants her to be after a summer of jumping! Happy for the little ones to go on lead rein too. Has done some clinics and fun rides. I would say Lady is best suited to a competent novice, a child, teen or small adult ready to step up and have some fun at local shows or Pony Club but would equally love to spend her days hacking too. She isn’t mareish but is a mare so a little aloof with new people but once she knows you, she really is the sweetest soul & affectionate. Lady had mallenders which have pretty much cleared up so would advise continuing with a weekly feather spray to maintain and keep it all nice.
