Holly has started off hacking and some schooling with a novice child. She is great in traffic including farm traffic, safe in open spaces, and rides and leads with or without a jockey on. She has also been to kids club.
Holly has been out jumping training a couple of times and was sensible and unphased by the fillers. She has also been to one showjumping show where she won the 40cm and came 3rd in the 50cm out of 29 starters, and qualified for Bicton Mini Champs on her first attempt! She was impeccably well behaved and sensible in both the warm up and the ring and did some great turns willingly.
She has 3 lovely paces and a scopey jump, she has loose schooled/jumped a single fence upto 1m easily, but she would need a competent rider to consistently be jumping this big. She is comfortable popping around 50/60 with a child that is less experienced but would easily progress up the levels with time.
She schools well on the flat, and is forward but not strong.
She is good to load, for the farrier, to catch, and to handle in general - she is very sweet! She has been clipped and was unsure to start with but was well behaved.
She would suit a pony club home where she can have fun doing a bit of everything.
I would say that Holly isn’t a first year first ridden but would be more suited to a confident novice that can walk trot and canter as she is a forward thinking pony although safe as houses!
