Sad sale of our lovely pony,
Great lead rein/ potential 1.5/second pony. Or possibly first pony for a more confident jockey maybe with an older sibling to help continue her education, my daughter is just too nervous for her unfortunately. I am gutted as she has so easy to have around! Not a fyfr.
Good points
- great out hacking, in front or behind, alone or in company. Fine with tractors/ bikes etc…
- travels well, stands all day tied up to the box with a haynet
- lives in or out alone or in company
- good for farrier (shod in front)
- behaves nicely on and off lead in w and t on hack or in the school
- done local showing classes in hand, on lead and off lead and she behaves beautifully. Judges like her markings and movement.
- seen coloured and natural little fences on lead/ in hand with us. She did more jumping in her last home, she has a lovely little pop.
- did a xc pony club rally on lead and she was not phased by going away from the rest to go and do a little course
- lives off thin air, cheap to keep
- no sweet itch or laminitis (although I manage her as if she could get laminitis as she has a tendency to become fat like most little ponies!!)
Less good
- she can be a bit spooky on occasion, but never at nothing or things she has seen before, only at things that actually make her jump.
- she can be speedy in canter, this is much better now as she is being regularly schooled by a small adult and she is proving to have a lovely rocking horse canter most of the time but probably not suitable at present for a child just learning to canter as she still gets a bit worried when the rider is unbalanced - hence the sad sale, as this is where my daughter is getting to. With more regular riding with more confident children I am sure this would come, she means well!
Open to offers, some tack and rugs can be included if desired.
