- Frank is a 14.2, 10 year old, Connemara-cross. Frank has a super jump and would make an ideal Pony Club eventer. He competed regionally in PC tetrathlon 90cm in his previous home and has attended many rallies, camps etc so is very familiar with a pony club way of life, he also hunted for 4 seasons. Frank is very trainable but can be quite lazy in flat work although he works really well when ridden with purpose. Frank loves to jump and would easily do BE80/90 - we have jumped him 1m at home with ease. He also seems to be able to get himself out of tights spots when jumping and so could be really good in a jump-off or at tricky cross-country jumps. Frank is good to handle on the ground, with farrier, vet etc and he travels well. Frank is great to hack, good on roads with traffic, in open fields etc. Frank canters up the field to see me (ie his feed bucket) when I go to the yard so I have never had any problems catching him. Frank would make an ideal Pony Club pony for a confident teen. He is not a novice ride as he can be unfocussed (very nosy) and has a big movement in trot – I would say he needs a competent rider to get the best out of him. Frank really seems to enjoy being worked and always tries his best. Frank is for sale because I bought him to hack and do endurance – he is really too much pony for me and I feel that he has way to much potential, especially jumping, to be deprived of a pony club-type life which is where he would really excel and be happy. Frank will only go to an appropriate 5* home. Price £8,500K, £9,500 including lovely ideal saddle, Rambo micklem bridle and 4 new turnout rugs.
