Description: Minty (After Eight) is such a loveable character. We have owned him for 3 years and he has taught all 3 of our children the basics and brought us so much joy. For sale only as we are moving up in pony size as a family. Minty will hack alone or in company. He does not care which position he is in he just loves to be out and about seeing new things. He doesn’t really like a fast life so is ideally suited to low level hacking (he will go for miles)but at a steady pace. Minty is brilliant on the lead rein and will also lead off any horse. Off lead rein he will follow a leader on the ground perfectly. In a herd he is low down in the hierarchy, not bossy and stays out of trouble. He has been grazed with mares and geldings and stables well, even alone if needs be. Minty lives on fresh air and in light work needs no hard feed and very little hay in winter. He is best shod if working on roads as he has a tendency to be lazy behind and this can affect his feet. This is reflected in his price. Currently ridden by all ages from 5 to 50 years old. He is highly adaptable to his rider. He will school for short periods. It’s not his favourite pastime though. Up to date with dentist, farrier, worming checks and vaccinations. Wardrobe is also available. Happy to discuss a trial lease arrangement as I know how tricky these decisions are. Please ask any questions.
