Chocolate is our lovely Bay Roan Welsh C Gelding, 5 years old turning 6 next year. Really well and lovely put together boy taking the leg up well standing at 12.2 full up ! Outstanding confirmation and looks, one very flashy boy a real head turner and a fresh face for the 2022 showing circuit. Lovely breeding with synod bloodlines. Would do very well in the WHP, M&M flat classes, BS showjumping or BD dressage. He would be suitable for a small teenagers pony, second pony with a very knowledgeable horsey family, Third pony, small adult, mother daughter share, someone wanting to produce him for the show circuit, games pony. Chocolates enthusiasm really comes out in his work, with his expressive paces and a very well schooled pony. Since being with us we have concentrated more on the flat work side of things as was a very established pony in the jumping world for his age. He has a lovely walk, trot, working trot, extended trot, canter which is naturally uphill. He has also started work on leg yield and shoulder in. If anything his canter May need more work on collecting as is a naturally fast paced pony. Very intelligent pony who picks things up very well. For this reason I really think he would excel in BD dressage and have really seen him taking a liking to this work. Jumping chocolate he will jump anything you put him in front of, he is a keen bean so for this reason we say no novices and is definitely not a first pony. He has a lot more potential than a first pony and would love to see that put to use. He has seen fillers and jumped fillers at home with us. He is currently jumping around courses of 70/80cm and single fences of 90/95cm. This pony has a lot of scope ! He has been in open spaces and hacks around our farm on his own and in company. Being a typical cheeky Welsh he can occasionally have a look at things, but nothing a bit of leg and a good boy doesn’t sort out. He goes up front or behind. We are a very spooky yard with our ménage next to a 60 mph road and the motorway also next to us he really does not bat an eyelid. In his previous home, he was used for a 12 and 9 year old novice girls for their first pony. They did find him a bit too much. He has also been to the beach in his previous home and lots of showjumping competitions and clinics so has seen the world at his young age. Has also done a bit of XC. Chocolates great to load and travel, groom, bath, tacking up, dentist, physio, clipping we do sedate him for his purpose being a young pony we like to give them the best experiences but I do think he would be fine without sedation as we use trimmers on him and stands perfectly. On the ground he does need to carry on with his groundwork but as he is only 5 we would expect someone to be able to carry on with this. Price is to include his bridle, his brand new Black Country Working Hunter Saddle and full receipts can be displayed, a weeks worth of feed and some rugs. We have lots of videos and pictures available upon request and lots of references available from us too. Homes will be vetted and will want to stay in contact, open to vetting too.
