Touché Of Hope👑
16.3h, 6 year old, ISH Gelding.
Star, has been a much loved horse that came onto the yard last winter as a hunt horse for our rider Tom. He hunted with the Quorn and Worcestershire, and was specifically used as a “big day” horse. Star will jump the biggest of country, he will go off on his own, he’s jumped ditches, hedges, wire and gates.
Star after a short break was produced for eventing, he’s done BE80, BE90 and unaff 100. Get two flags and star is going through them, he’s bold, very brave, and really enjoys this. Showjumping is probably his least favoured area of eventing, but got better throughout the season, dressage was consistently between 26 and 33. he’s a blood horse and his head must be in the right frame.
He has very balanced paces, a careful jump, and great confirmation to match.
We feel star would be a great event horse, but with more a variety than we can offer in the season, he loves it but if he is going just event after event he can get a bit bored and unfocused. He needs to be managed like a competition horse, hacking, hill work etc - and I genuinely believe he has the ability to go all the way. That’s if you want him as a event horse!
He is fab to shoe, teeth, twitch for a clip, load, will stand on the box and has been regular worked and hunted to date included being used as a hireling.
Star as a hunter isnt for the fain’t hearted in the field. He’s respectful, polite and will queue but he’s a machine and if as a rider that’s not desired the’s he’s not for you. If he’s up front he’s perfect!
If you want to go out, jump big country on a reliable, strong young horse then he’s your guy.
Star will live in or out, he is extremely affectionate horse and loves attention!
