- What a pleasure it is to present something of this class! Meet Roo, standing at 17.2hh, 7yo, TB gelding. Raced a small handful of times, retired sound, just not the job for him. He has had turn out time since his last race and now started his new education. Roo is without a shadow of a doubt the yard gentleman. This horse is so kind and empathetic, loves having any attention! Polite and easy for anyone to see to, stands for be bathed, groomed etc. Great with kids, dogs, and other horses. He’s certainly the friendliest and most loving horse on our yard. Roo has recently started education in the arena and taken to it as if it’s nothing at all new to him! He is starting to work in a natural and soft shape, understanding the inside leg to outside hand and performing basic school movements with ease. He has a brilliant stride, very rangey mover and will certainly have the most amazing medium trot when he’s been further produced. He has a great over track and already brings his hind end underneath himself. Although very green, he’s certainly an extremely comfortable ride. Roo has one of the most trainable attitudes we’ve ever seen. Recently we’ve put Roo over some small coloured fences in the arena. Again, showing to be so willing, with so much promise. He is neat and careful both infront and behind, making some promising shapes with good amounts of rideability there. He is never strong nor silly. Again, he is green but you’ll struggle to find another this willing and trainable, he really tries and so far is proving to be a ‘no questions asked ‘ type of horse. Roo is great to hack out. Has been brilliant in traffic and remained his kind and polite self in open spaces. I’d really like for him to find someone capable of developing his education to help him reach his full potential, at the same time this horse is by no means a tricky ride and doesn’t require a very technical rider. He can be as versatile as you need. He regularly gets climbed on by young children and ridden by teenagers. Roo is very quiet and has never put a foot out of place. Clean limbed, open to any inspection, instructors, viewing etc. Tack and delivery is available . Only homes with as much to offer as he has to give should enquire.
