- Lowan is a sweet little mare, roughly 14h who is willing to please. I am selling on behalf of the owner from our yard in south Devon, i have had her on loan and due to me going to University I no longer have the time for her. She’s a fun little pocket rocket, she loves her jumping, comfortably around 80cm but have jumped her higher. She is a forward going confident pony and is very keen, up for anything. She can get strong when she gets exited jumping so not suitable for small children or complete novices. I’ve done various pony club clinics and lessons with her, and she’s doing most PC activities in her previous home (stay away camps, xc, competitions). She is bold at jumping, not fazed by fillers or fences, sorts a stride out for the rider, always enjoys herself. She is great out hacking, happy alone or in company, not fussed by traffic/farm machinery/bikes etc. She goes lovely on the flat, although she’d definitely prefers jumping. Easy to handle on the ground, not mareish at all. She is able to live out all the time, I bring her in at night during the winter just to save the fields, she is happy either way. Can go out with mares or geldings, respects all fencing. She’s a good doer being a native breed. Never sick or sorry. she does get mild sweet itch in the summer which can be managed by a sweet itch rug she will come with. She can be nervous when clipping, fine with her body but doesn’t like her head/neck being done, this is manageable with a lick. She travels and loads perfectly, never had an issue. Lowan is an amazing pony and would suit a small adult, teen, mother daughter share for someone to have fun with her, take her out and love her. She would be a great little competition pony to do a bit of everything with. Home is very import, no quick sale need. Full wardrobe available by separate negotiation. Sorry no loans, sale needed.
