- Amazing Jumping Cob Jade is a beautiful 14.2 12 year old Black cob. Jade is the definition of a true all-rounder. We have had Jade for 18 months, and in that time, she has taken my novice daughter from jumping single fences of 50cm to courses of 80cm and even the odd single fence of 1.15m We have taken Jade to various events, and she has always been foot perfect. She's been to unaffiliated showjumping, dressage, pony club rallies, XC schooling, and various pleasure rides Jade will turn her hoof to anything and loves to jump (coloured poles and XC) and hack. Jade is great in open spaces and will hack alone or incompany. She is not fased by any traffic, including farm machinery or walking over the railway bridge whilst a train is passing underneath. Jades flatwork is her weakest phase. However, she is very willing, and to be honest, it is never something my daughter has shown much interest in. With that being said she has smooth transitions and is off the leg. We haven't hunted her, but I think she could be a great little hunting cob as she has never refused at a fence and will go off any stride, always helping her rider out. She is easy to deal with at home and at shows, she's great to load (trailer or wagon), catch, bath, worm, vaccinate and for the vet, phsyio and dentist. Jade currently lives out 24/7. However, has lived in with no turnout during winter in the previous home, and her attitude did not change. She can be turned out with mares or geldings and is sensible in the field she is not a top mare more easing going. She is currently turned out with another mare and gelding. We think Jade would suit another competent novice that wants to learn the ropes, or equally a great mother daughter share. I can't stress how safe this mare is, I totally trust my daughter to do everything with her - this is why she features in many instagram reals and tictoks - usually bareback jumping! Jades only tiny draw backs are she doesnt like her hind legs being clipped, she is great to clip everywhere else and during winter we have her fully clipped, however when it comes to taking her back feathers off we twitch or have her sedated. We think this must have been from a bad experience from a previous home as she has got better each time we have done it, so in time, she may not need anything. She does spend summer in a fly rug as she gets bothered by them. However, never has sweetich scabs etc, she will come with her fly rug. My daughter has outgrown Jade now and it is for this reason we are selling her, if she was 15.2 she would have a home for life as we really think the world of this mare however my daughter now needs to make the transition onto horses. We are looking for high 4 figures which include full wardrobe and saddle. 10* home is very important to us for this little mare and we would love to stay incontact with her new owner.
