- Just in time for christmas🤩 Smartie Pants👑 We have for consideration a 16.1, 6 year old, grey ISH. Smartie has been with us for over a year now and was predominantly used as a hunt horse for a variety of riders. He hunted with the Quorn and has jumped Hedges, Rails, Wire, Gates, will cross any country and has led, 100% brave enough. After a mid summer break after hunting we started to event him a ODE 80/90 with many successes. He’s smart, correct, brave, careful and wants to please. Unfortuantley for us as an event yard for him to go to high level eventing his movement lets him down and for us we think he would be more suited as a hunt, event horse if you dont mind his movement which we are certain of with more work he will improve as much as he already has! Arena eventing, or equally a showjumper! He schools comfortable at the moment around 105cm courses and plenty of room in the tank! He’s fab in every single way, he does need consistent work, he’s not the sort you can leave for 3 weeks and then jump on and go hunting. But he doesn’t need hard work every day. Currently in 4 days a week and he’s perfect. He will be a fab mother daughter share, a horse a mother can go for a days hunting but the children can take him jumping. Or if you have an adrenaline junkie child a days hunting even on a quiet day he’s perfect for! But point at a hedge and he’s going!! This horse could go into any sphere and he will do well at it. If he was our only horse things would be different. But with 10 others to event with the hopes of going advanced. He falls short. He will be soo missed, but we feel it’s not fair on him to put him eventing up the grades, we want to show him what he’s amazing at! And it’s the least he deserves. Open to any inspection.
