Reasoning for sale is a change in circumstances with my own work commitments and daughter unfortunately growing far to big for him now I feel he isn’t getting the time he deserves
Pheonix is a lovely 13.1 Welsh Sec B 16 years old. We bought him in 2020 after my daughter fell in love with him whilst he was in for sales livery. If i had an endless pot of money id keep him as a companion pony as he really is the sweetest boy. He is the perfect 2nd pony. He has speed, loves to jump. Needs some schooling as only really been doing light in hand work and hacking. Will hack alone and in company, has bucked but more in excitement, never reared. He can be unridden for weeks and rides well first time. Happily jumps up to 70cm at home. He has recently been out showjumping and behaved impeccably in the warm up and class. Whilst on loan he has mainly done lead rein but I think he enjoys more variation and gets bored. Due to recent loan hes schooling is a tad rusty. When we first purchased him he was a bugger when led back to the field but now respects your hand. He is well behaved when being clipped, shod and having teeth done, loads into a lorry or trailer no problem. Good in traffic and open spaces. Caught, tacked and handled by children. He is up to date with teeth and vaccinations. He has lived out the last two winters, did suffer with mud fever in 2020 but since having mud mats down around hay and water hes had no issues. He has been out with both mares and geldings and is literally the pefect companion, he will groom and play for hours. Although he has lived out he equally enjoys being in.
Can be strong leading out and bringing in so bridle is used although around the yard and tying up he's fine in a head collar.
Last picture was from a previous owner where he enjoyed hunting.
