- Introducing Lucy, a well related , 17hh, 15yo Irish mare. Lucy is a very traditional stamp, stunning model, no health issues nor vices. Lucy is easy to do in all ways. Very uncomplicated and easy to keep. Lucy is very established on the flat. She’s is a great mover, works in a soft outline, obedient up and down the transitions, soft in the hand - certainly a very comfortable ride. Luce has previously competed in unaffiliated dressage up no novice and always scored well, collecting lots of thrilles over the years. Lucy has competed BS years ago with a lot of success. Lucy still loves the job but gets more enjoyment out of doing it at a lower level now. That said, Lucy would still willingly go out and have some fun around 90/1m. She is brave, very scopey , with a careful backend. Lucy is certainly forgiving if you miss her, trust me I’m the worlds worst sometimes! She doesn’t get offended. Cross country / ODE’s / hunter trials/ eventing etc are a certain favourite of hers! She’s also competed BE. Lucy is courageous and reliable and absolutely loves it! Much prefers this than arena work. She is not strong nor silly. Talented , yet still very much enjoyable and just wants to enjoy herself. Lucy is 100% reliable out hacking. She will go in any traffic, alone or in company , infront or behind. She looks after anyone on board. Polite in open spaces, loves to pop logs , hedges etc going through the woodlands. Lucy has done a lot of hunting. Including being hunted by the staff and therefore whipping in , field master etc. Lucy knows exactly what she’s doing and absolutely loves a day out on the hunt field!! Open and closes gates, stands like a rock to be mounted , jumps anything, goes through water etc …. She’s a superstar!! Lucy has been on several funrides and beach rides with different riders of different abilities and always brings them home smiling. Again, she absolutely loves this type of work. Lucy would suit someone wanting either a safe and fun hack, a hunt horse, a reliable horse for funrides , or someone wanting to do a bit of everything. She much prefers work out of the arena , she’s bored of it after being a school mistress all these years. As the old saying goes ‘if you get a good mare, they’ll give you the world’ … this fits Lucy perfectly. Come and meet her!! Tack and delivery available Open to any inspection.
