- Exquisite dapple grey 13yr old Connemara gelding. This wonderful pony has taken my daughter from jumping 60cm unaffiliated classes to Foxhunter /1.10 BS in less than a year. He is a phenomenal showjumping pony who is super brave, careful, yet isn’t offended in any way by a bad distance. He has plenty of scope to get his rider out of a sticky spot, and always with a smile on his face. His flat work is outstanding and he is never ridden in anything other than a snaffle, he also has a super canter which has helped my daughter learn so much so quickly in the showjumping ring. That being said, he moves and schools beautifully and I have no doubt he would be a star in the dressage arena too which he did in a previous home. Ed is an expert XC pony and has given us great pleasure trying new things that he has already been there and got the T-shirt for. He has also done all PC activities including camp. He loves to hack, be it alone or in company, and most importantly he will canter sensibly in open spaces without getting strong or silly. Ed has the most trustworthy character on the ground and I have always been only too happy for my 12 year old daughter to do everything with him unsupervised from loading, clipping, hacking in the grounds of our yard, he has the most gentle and inquisitive nature he genuinely is Mr Reliable. Good to catch, shoe, clip. Will go on a lorry or a trailer on his own and is quite happy to stand on the lorry with a haynet at a show. We are devastated to offer Ed for sale but my daughter has hopelessly outgrown him and it’s time for another family to start their journey with him. He deserves only the best of homes as he truly has been our pony of a lifetime. Super easy ride but can buck in his changes so not for a complete novice. Hundreds of Videos available on request.
