- ‘Ryehall The Ritz’ The Longhouse Candyman x Brookwater Simply Pink. Beautifully marked well bred show pony! Bought untouched out of the field in August 2022 and has been professionally backed since October 2022. She has been an absolute pleasure to produce and has turned into a fantastic ridden pony. She is easy to handle on the ground with 0 stables vices. She stands quietly when tied up, good to bathe, load etc. Happy to turn out with mares/geldings or will stand in her stable when the weather is bad. Once she gets to know you she is a cuddle bug and loves attention. She is barefoot with good strong feet. Up to date with vaccinations, farrier, physio and teeth. She has never been fully body clipped, but she wasn’t bothered when I clipped her fetlocks and jaw. Under saddle she is a star! She has 3 naturally flashy paces, especially her trot, and is very genuine to ride. She is responsive to leg aids, without being over reactive/jumpy, and is soft in the mouth. Always snaffle mouthed and works in a lovely outline. She is not the sort that has to be ridden every day either and doesn’t get fresh. She has recently started jumping and is brave and easy to stride. She loves to hack and doesn’t get fizzy/strong in open spaces. She goes out alone or in company and is experience on the roads. Happily passes all types of vehicles and cyclists without an issue. I’ve also boxed her to hack away from home, which she loved. She will really shift if you ask her to, but never gets strong and easily comes back to walk again. Will hack on a loose rein even after galloping. She is a lot of fun, yet safe to ride! She has been to 2 different shows, one in-hand before I backed her and one recently under saddle. She placed well at both shows (top 3 each time) and behaved beautifully in the new environments. She is very eye catching in the ring and judges love her. There is definitely potential for HOYs, RIHS etc in the future. I’d love to see her in a showing home, but she is the ultimate all-rounder and would turn her hoof to anything; pony club, dressage, sponsored rides etc. She would suit a small adult (weight limit of 8.5 stone), teenager or child.
