Alfie - Brynfa Llewellyn Badminton grassroots potential Always guaranteed to put a smile on your face. I bought Alfie as a 4 year old, backed and produced by myself. He is great for the farrier, currently unshod. Loads pretty much himself, he loves going places - we have an equitrek. Happy to travel alone or in company. Will stand in or out the box all day at shows no problem. Hacks alone or in company, isn't silly in big open fields. Good to clip - I have him clipped all year round. Good and clean in the stable. Currently lives out 24/7 with stable on the field. The best temperament, Alfie loves people and will do anything to please. I have trained Alfie to Medium level dressage. He has much more to give, won't take much to teach changes. We have competed up to BE90 with plenty of scope for more. This year was the first year we have gone out competing since covid hit. Alfie did not fail to disapoint, he clearly missed it. He had consist dressage scores in the 20's. He was placed 1st x2, 4th and 6th out of 6 competition, the final one being Blair area finals where I let him down, he would have finished 2nd without my rider error and be going to Badminton grassroots. As I have no facilities at home, only hacking. Alfie has had a very easy winter as I have been concentrating on my young horse. However that said he is super easy to pick up where you left off. Alfie is a forward thinking pony, has all he power to be a super competition pony for someone. That being said he has recently been ridden by a 12 year old and his default was to slow to walk or stop. He has all the tools there to show a young jockey the ropes before moving onto a horse or he would also make a lovely mother daughter share. This is a very difficult decision for me so the home is at an utmost importance. Open to sensible offers
