- Description
- Barney is a good old fashioned type of Registered Irish Draught.
He was imported from Ireland as a foal, with a full green Irish Passport. DNA and micro chipped.
Good straight action, so should make a top HOYS maxi cob or hunter.
Very strong, with a leg in each corner, will carry any weight hunting all day.
Athletic and should have a very good jump. His dam was awarded a bronze medal for showjumping.
However, he is not plain, he is eye catching with a bit of a sparkle, so will show at any level.
Aways up front and nosey, a real cool dude.
Good to catch and lead, started proper handling.
Grade 1. (Highest grade for an Irish Draught in Ireland)
As a foal had a lovely big Natural arched neck, which will become more obvious once he is out of his ugly duckling growth stage!
Happy if new owner wants him gelded to keep him for a couple of weeks to let him heal, but he is so chilled and a dope on a rope, that it would be a real pity to geld him.
He is the sort of true heavyweight (but active and not common) that is very difficult to find.
Not sure I’m making a mistake selling him, but working full time makes it a difficult decision.
No novice owners please.
