- It’s with an extremely heavy heart that we have had to come to the decision to sell our beautiful Charlie. We all absolutely love Charlie, and he has really become a huge part of the family, but due to me being at university and my Little brother (who rides him) has other interests, I feel like he is being completely wasted an deserves to be out and about doing things with a new little best friend. Charlie really is the easiest, quiet and lovable pony anyone could want. There is no justifying it, he never really got “broken in” we just plopped my little brother on him and it’s like Charlie already knew what he needed to do. He has taken my little brother (who has never had lessons and has only ever ridden Charlie) to take him over little jumps, doing canters around the fields, the best hacks with rope swings to which Charlie sits and watches the fascinating thing of a little boy swinging to and from him haha! He absolutely loves adventures, if my little brother wasn’t there to ride him then we would take him out on a lead rope and take him for walks around the fields and the country roads. He is brilliant as a companion for other horses as he can quite literally be Paired with any horse and will get along with them! He was brilliant with teaching my yearling manners as well. He respects all fencing and will (usually) come straight to you in the field, depending on if he’s finished eating all the grass of not! Charlie believes it or not is only 4 years old and as I know a lot of people say (young with an old head and then the horse still has their baby ways) Charlie seems to have wasted no time with his maturity, you could very easily mistake him with a 20-year-old horse I think if he was any more laid back then he would quite literally be going backwards. Charlie stands at around 9.2hh although I haven’t actually put a stick on him, my brother is 8 years old and he’s not Exactly small for his age. Charlie is the type of pony that will be a little girl or boys best friend and I’d love to find him a mini best friend for him to spend the rest of his life with. We bought him to be in a forever home but unfortunately my brother hasn’t stuck to it like we thought he would have. Therefor we will only be looking for the best of homes where he will live out his lovely long life. If I could keep him for when I have children but that’s not going to be for. A few years at least, and I find it would be unfair on him to do nothing within that time. He is young, eager to please and wants to be out there doing beach rides, forest rides, fun rides, shows… you name I guarantee Charlie will love it. If you think you could offer out gorgeous Charlie a home filled with love (and lots of carrots) then please done hesitate to send me a message.
