- Polly is a 13.1 dark bay part bred New Forest pony, 14 years old this year. She is very sadly for sale as her little rider has moved on to a bigger pony and as much as we love her I can't justify keeping her and she is far too good and loves her job too much to be doing nothing in a field. She's a super duper pony who will step up or down to suit her rider although wouldn't be suitable for a complete beginner. She's taken my son from jumping x poles to 80cm plus and taught him so much. She is perfect out hacking and will hack alone or in company, first or last and is never strong or silly. She isn't spooky and is 100% in traffic. My son is 10 and hacks her out alone and in a group without me and I trust her completely to bring him home safely which is just the most important thing as a mum. Beach rides, fun rides, pony club rides, camps you name it she's done it and been impeccably behaved. Loads and travels like a dream alone or with a friend. We have trail hunted her this season and she's been fab standing at meets and good with hounds always giving my son the best day out. She's been an active member of pony club and has collected a mountain of rosettes, sashes and trophies. She's happiest jumping up to 60cm and can school higher but to compete she is best at 60 having said that she has recently qualified for the sunshine tour at 65cm. She'll also produce a beautiful dressage test (scoring 19.7 in their ODE last summer). She's perfect to handle on the ground with lovely manners and my son does everything on her own with her from catching her in the field to tacking her up. Currently barefoot and good to trim. Polly will come with her saddle, bridle, every weight of rug you can imagine and some matchy sets that don't fit the new bigger pony.
