- 15’2 ISH 8 year old gelding, Roody. He is a true gentleman and uncomplicated have around the yard, amazing with kids, animals, other horses. Loves to hack out, great in open spaces, not strong at all - snaffle mouthed at all times. Isn’t phased by much, hacks on road, open spaces, bridge paths and has seen everything, isn’t bothered even if other horses in the ride are messing about! Loves to jump, bold and brave and doesn’t stop. Schooled up to 1m and competed 90. Schools in a beautiful outline and listens to the rider, lovely three paces. Has so much scope and potential to be a happy hacker, hunter, show jumper or do dressage. He has come on three fold since I got him in February and is a quick learner. But he needs a more experienced home as he’s developed a learned behaviour of spinning. This stemmed from pain from low grade ulcers and back tightness, both of which have been resolved, he has a clear vets report and also perfect back X-rays. However it is now a learned behaviour and needs someone to start again with his training and gradually build him up. Due to this he is sold from field. He’s sound and lovely clean limbs. Barefoot, loves to live out or in and great with vet / farrier/ to clip/ load. Hassle free sale to kind, loving experienced home required. This boy has so much potential for the right person who is willing to work with him. I brought him for 8k earlier this year and reflecting his quirks in the price.
