Gafros Rebellion aka Rebel
£5,000 open to sensible offers for the right home.
A lovely chap, just turned 6yrs in Feb and now standing at over 16.2h. I have had him since he was 6 months old. His sire is a traditional gypsy cob and dam a WBxTB.
He was professionally backed for me slowly and sensitively at 5yrs old, allowing him time to mature before backing. Having had him home I was gently hacking him out with no incidents, but felt he needed riding on and that I did not have the time or skill for that and so he is now being ridden on professionally and they have done a fabulous job with him.
He is a forward ride and enjoys his work. He hacks out and is settled in the arena, having also done a small jump. He is however still very green and needs to see a lot more of life to develop his confidence and bring him up to his full potential.
He is unsure about having his feet touched but that is massivley improving and he is regularly shod.
He has never bucked, reared or bolted and is an affectionate personality. He thrives in work and is enjoying being ridden on in a busy competition yard.
He has done an in hand show and was unfazed by the noise and other horses. He recently did his first show jumping course (x poles) at a busy show and was not bothered by all the activities around him.
I am very very fond of Rebel but I am now realising that with my own competing horse and working full time, that I simply will not be able to carry on his education.
He will need regular consistent daily work to build on the positive experiences he has had to date to reach his full potential. He is going to be a fun and handsome horse, a ladies hunter and riding club all rounder I suspect.
Sad as it is I am selling him as that is the best thing for him in the long run.
He would not suit a youngster, novice or nervous rider as he takes his confidence from his rider.
However, home will be of the utmost importance to me as this is a reluctant sale, if I had the time and was a little more confident in the saddle I would be keeping him.
Please note Rebel is green, safe and sane but will need riding on to reach his potential.
