Description
Renkum Revolt- Welsh B Gelding- 13 years old - 12.2hh Super sweet 12.2 Welsh B Gelding Strawberry Roan with showjumping and showing bloodlines. Sire is DDeunant Spotlight bronze winning showjumping stallion. Rev is out of the Renkum stud show name (Renkum Revolt). Dam side is out of the friarleys and Menai. He has exceptional breeding. He was brought by myself to bring on, produce and find his next home. In his time with us here, he was regularly ridden by a competent novice 10 year old, went and competed in a large county show on grass in 60/70cm showjumping taking home 1st place and a cup, regular lessons with my instructor and out hacking alone and in company. He’s a lovely ride, however being a Welsh B can be sensitive at times. He likes a nice, light handed rider, he’s forward off the leg and is polite and well mannered to handle. Has previously been owned by a 7 year old. Has been in home with children for the past 4/5 years known of. Hacking: Rev adores his hacking. In his time with us he will hack out up front or behind. Has been a nanny for a very fiery, spooky Welsh D. We live in the countryside so is used to narrow country roads, cows, sheep, farm machinery, clay pigeon shooting and quad bikes. We also met a double decker bus on the corner of a 60 mph road and walked straight past with no hesitation whilst being up front. He’s been out in open spaces in our 10 acre field. I found him to be similar to what he is in the school. He has good brakes and ridden in a snaffle. However, would possibly look at putting him in a Wilkie for a smaller rider. We had a walk, trot, canter and jump and behaved impeccably. Videos available Dressage/Flatwork: Rev is well schooled, however can sometimes loose concentration if not keeping him active. He can produce a lovely dressage test and will work on a natural outline. We haven’t done any dressage with him as we feel he gets bored. So a pony club, mounted games, jumping home would suit him best. However, saying this he is still happy to go round schooling with a confident rider. Jumping: Jumping is Revs passion and love. He has competed regularly around 60/70cm with full fillers. However, he does have so much scope to go higher. He’s very confident and will take the rider to the jump. He has never once refused at all or even looked at a jump. At home he has jumped around 80/90cm. He has competed on grass at a big county event taking home 1st place in the 60/70cm showjumping with a puissance wall included. He has been out cross country schooling seeing rustic fences and water. However, we haven’t taken him ourselves. But have jumped our cross country fences in our field. He goes better with a confident capable rider when jumping. So someone who wants to do BS he would suit. To handle: Very polite well mannered pony. Loves attention, cuddles and a pamper. Great to bath, to be shod, groom. Loads straight on first time on a lorry or a trailer. Travels well on his own or with other ponies. Lives in or out, individually or in a herd. So easy to handle and look after. He’s completely up to date with worming, dentist, physio, vaccinations and farrier. Current owners testimonial on Rev: Rev came to me on the 18th June. Unfortunately Jess is still a bit too small for him and we decided to look for something smaller. Rev is amazing on the ground, very east. My 9 year old took him to his field and brought him back in every day from the first day he came to us. She groomed him everyday and gave him a bath which he loved ! He made friends very quickly with his stable mates and settled in very well. In the school Rev was good although a bit strong for my slight daughter and although didn’t put a foot wrong we felt she needs a step in between Rev fit her next pony. Rev would excel with a confident jockey in mounted games or pony club home. Rev will come with: Cliff Barnsby Saddle and Bridle Some rugs Full 5* stage vetting passed papers (recent) Please contact for lots of videos of this very special pony. He will only be going to the best 5* home with references as is a much loved pony. Someone who would be happy to keep in touch
