- Stunning, Flashy, Fully Registered Rising 4 Year Old Overheight Connemara Mare Luna is a beautiful model of a Connemara, perfectly conformed, show quality, with no lumps or bumps. Her breeding is set out in the photos below. She stands at just over 15 hands and is very well put together. Her full history is known. The lady who had her before me, and during 2022, bought Luna directly from her breeder in Ireland. She came to me just before Xmas unbroken, but very well handled by her previous owner. She has been extremely easy to start under saddle and has steadily progressed over the course of the last month. She has now done some hacking both alone and in company. She has been on the roads, through the woods, over ditches and river crossings. She has seen some traffic, as I live in a busy area. She has now been on a few outings. I took her to the beach. She behaved impeccably and absolutely loved cantering along with her friends. She was also happy to go off on her own and have a play. I have now started popping a few jumps with her. She has been to a couple of different arenas and seen both show jumps and xc fences. She makes a lovely shape over a jump, showing lots of scope and talent to progress. She moves beautifully on the flat and is off the leg and into the hand. She can now walk, trot and canter on both reins. I have clipped her neck out and put some front shoes on her, for which she stood brilliantly. She is fully up to date with teeth, back and vaccinations, having just had her annual booster. She lives in or out with either mares or geldings and is a very kind natured, happy mare. She loves cuddles and isn’t marish at all. She is very low maintenance and cheap to keep. She has no vices. She is very friendly and confident for her age. I’ve had her out in both the big and small wagon and she loads and travels well. This little mare is green but is very kind, willing and genuine. She really does try her best to please. She is now looking to find her new home. Someone wanting a quality youngster, who has had the perfect start to her education. She would easily go on and excel in any discipline. She will need a knowledgeable home, given that she has only been under saddle for a short time.
