- Slieve Bloom Sam 15hh rising 7 year old Grey Gelding, fully registered Connemara with excellent breeding by I Love You Melody. Hoof wall N/N Carefully broken, produced and competed over the past couple of years, and is now ready to further his competition career. He has 3 very nice paces, and carries himself beautifully. He has lots of scope and very genuine willing attitude. He has a powerful and careful jump. Sam has evented at 80cm & 90cm. He qualified for the first ever Cotswold Cup final at Gatcombe finishing with a double clear in the top 10. He has won a 80cm ODE and won a 90cm Hunter trial. Always pleasing comments in his tests from the judges. He has a fantastic trainable temperament, he is the easiest to do on and off the ground, and is a real head turner to look at. His confirmation would not allow him to go into the show ring, as he is does toe in, so the price reflects this confirmation error, but it hasn’t ever affected him in his performance and is open to any vetting. Extremely easy and very well behaved to do in all ways. Good to shoe, clip, trim, hack alone or in company in traffic. Only a 5* home will be considered for this special horse of a lifetime. Sam absolutely loved his job and loves competing. Whilst I was pregnant in 2021 he went to a professional yard and was schooled/competed during this time, and I had every intention of getting out to compete after the baby arrived. However; reality of a toddler and time has meant I’ve made the extremely hard and sad decision to sell Sam as I feel he is wasted with me - he needs to be out competing regularly and doing what he can do best.
