- Finn currently confidently showjumps upto 1m, proving agile and quick on his feet, straight-forward to a fence and turns easily in a jump-off, jumping off angles if asked. Would equally do very well in workers - he jumps in a lovely forward rhythm, has good correct conformation, produces a nice show, with an outstanding gallop! This August he attended Kilnsey Agricultural Show, where he won the Novice horse workers, 2nd Open horse, then went working hunter champion! He loves his clinics and camps as much as the competitions. He is bold and brave, loves his jumping and gives his rider so much confidence and fun!
Will happily XC school, jumping ditches, water, combinations etc, but has unfortunately lost that love for competive XC, therefore WILL NOT EVENT! A safe, but forward ride, snaffle mouthed at all times.
Finn has lovely, rhythmical paces and produces a lovely, obedient and accurate test, where he has competed at Novice, but schooled to Elementary,
Hunted multiple times this season, where he jumped everything in front of him, as well as doing gate days - where he stands steady to do them and lets you on and off easily, parking upto gates/walls etc to get on from. Good with hounds and to ride and lead.
Quietly stands on the trailer eating all day at competitions and travels well in both a trailer or a horsebox. Hacks out alone and in company, great in the heaviest of traffic and with all farm machinery. Good for the farrier aswell.
Would ideally suit a riding club or pony club home for a competent teenager or adult, or would equally be suited to a hunting home or someone just wanting to have some fun!!
We have owned Finn for 4 years now and has been ridden by a small teenage girl, her brother and her mum.
No novices.
Rugs and bridle included, but his made-measure saddle available by sperate negotiation.
5* knowledgable home is a must for this much loved boy - a really regrettable sale!
