Monty is a quality horse with heaps of potential and a very willing attitude. He loves attention and is a pleasure to have on the yard! He’s always lived in a herd but doesn’t get stressed when he’s on his own so would probably adjust to living on a quieter yard too.
Monty has done a bit of everything and never said no. He’s got a very nice careful jump and not phased by fillers, has competed at a local show and popped round lovely. He’s jumped a range of cross country jumps and is very bold.
He has his basic schooling and works nicely in the arena, with more schooling he would do a lovely dressage test or equally would excel in showing/hunter classes.
He is a dream to hack and this is where he is most happy, not spooky and happy to go at the front or back or out on his own. He’s not silly in open spaces and really enjoys being out. Would be a great horse for pleasure rides and riding club.
The downside is Monty can be slightly nervous of new people riding him and can be tense at first until he knows the rider is relaxed, we have videos of him doing this and will be 100% honest as the right home is very important to us. He will not suit a nervous or novice rider. In the right hands this horse is going to be very special!
