Stunning 16hh 6yrs Bay Gelding
Very sad sale due to a change in personal circumstances and this hasn't been an easy decision.
Apollo has the sweetest temperament and manners to die for. He is super soft and cuddly and very sympathetic. He is super easy to handle and lead around. Happily stays in the stable block by himself whilst the others leave and doesn't stress or get worried. Very calm minded. I cannot stress enough how much of a sweet gentle horse that he is.
He has 3 super floaty flashy paces and works in an outline with a fantastic attitude towards his work, a very quick learner and aims to please. He has been to two dressage competitions since I have owned him and scored 62% and 69% and both times in the placings. This is only the beginning for this charming horse in the phase and I have no doubt that with his continued training and education in this area his scores and strength will improve and he will always be in the placings.
He has completed his first fun ride at cotswold farm Park where he encountered sheep, cows and pigs and remained calm and level headed. He did not get silly or strong and was a pleasure to take on the ride. He popped over some small fences where he followed, led and jumped along side another horse.
He has been xc schooling where again he proved to be level headed and popped down steps, through the water, and over ditches. I think he would make a fab novice team chaser.
He has been started over small jumps as well as been on pole/jump lessons.
Apollo is super to hack and will go out alone or in company and has been 100% in traffic at all times with me.
He is good to shoe, catch, box, bath, travel etc. Up to date with teeth, back and vacs. He passed a 5 stage vetting in March when I bought him.
He was a race horse and was in training for 3 years but never raced. I have checked with RoR and he is still eligible to compete under RoR. And would excel in dressage and showing. Due to him coming out of training this year and him still being green he would not be suitable for a novice although he has never put a foot wrong.
Open to vetting. A good loving home is very important for this special kind boy who has become a yard favourite.
