- Meet Blazey our 12hh rising 16yo superstar of 3 years. We bought him as a first pony for our then 8yo daughter who was fresh out of riding school and had just learnt to canter. He was then a second pony for our son who is now 10yo. We owe this pony everything! He has taken our daughter from trotting around her first 45cm course up the levels and exactly the same for our son who currently competes him at 80/85cm. This pony loves to jump. It is his absolute favourite pastime. He quite literally will jump anything. Although we don’t compete higher than 80/85 he will merrily pop over a 90cm xc jump when we are schooling or on farm rides. He loves a varied life. We have done all pc activities/sj/ode/ht/tet/dressage/pony racing/mounted games. He’s been to 2 pc camps and 2 trailblazers comps. We diagnosed him with Cushings disease 18m ago after noticing he was drinking a lot. He has never had lami. We inject him with the new cabergoline treatment (0.1ml) once weekly. This is considerably cheaper than prascend costing just over £2/injection. He is brilliant to hack, clip, farrier, dentist, load, catch and generally pamper. He varies dramatically according to rider, he can be a steady Eddie but also a speedy Gonzales. After all he is a pony and not a saint. Sometimes when he’s enjoying himself he can be speedy. This doesn’t bother my children, in fact they enjoy it but I appreciate he may not be for everyone. If you are looking for a perfect kick along then he isn’t for you. If you want somebody competitive that will take your child up the levels then he could be the one. This is going to be extremely traumatic for us. He was our very first family pony and we love him dearly. Price is negotiable to the right home, he will come with full wardrobe including fitted K and M pc saddle.
