Stormy is versatile all-rounder, he is suitable for little ones to learn on or alternatively would make a great family friend for a petite adult to share alongside the kids. He is proven at shows and has exhibited very level-headed behaviour throughout even in busy environments. Stormy is safe, sensible & steady (more of a kickalong type). Stormy is a very well put together, eye-catching type. He oozes presence and has active and expressive paces. Stormy works exceptionally on the flat, he carries himself in a frame in all three paces - even with a small jockey. He would be an ideal dressage prospect for a child that wants to do well in the ring, without compromising on safety. He placed 6th at his first dressage competition with an 8yo jockey. Stormy is great to a fence, straight and honest, 'will go on any stride' type. He recently completed his first arena eventing competition placing 3rd. He is very willing over SJ & XC, bold over solid fences and fillers. Snaffle mouthed for all disciplines. Stormy jumps in a calm and quiet manner and would be ideal for a beginner to learn in as he isn't one to over-jump. Stormy has jumped round 60cm courses with ease, with some further experience he would be capable of taking a child up to 70-75cms. Stormy has also done some Mounted Games practices at home and proved really unflappable. Stormy is a dream to hack in open fields or on the roads. He will hack alone/in company. Good in traffic - has seen heavy farm machinery. He will go in front or behind without hotting up. He has completed a group trip to the beach and was a real gentleman with a nervous rider. Stormy has been brought up alongside a 7yo girl and he enjoys being part of the family. He can be a little nosey at times but he is a curious soul and loves to learn. He was cut late so will get quite clingy to mares if turned out with them, he settles better when kept with other geldings. Stormy is a perfect example of a traditional cob, he boasts a broad chest, deep girth and clean limbs with good bone. He has a pretty face and plenty of feather. He would do really well in the show ring! He's a real weight carrier type and despite his height he could easily carry a small adult, his frame takes up the leg and I feel very at home on him at 5ft3. He is good to load (trailer & lorry), travel, shoe, for vet, for dentist, to groom, to bath, clip (a bit tickly on legs). Good with dogs. Up to date on vaccs.
