Description
13hh 12 years old flaxen chestnut Welsh part-bred pony for sale Archie has been a much loved part of our family for 5 years but sadly the time has come for him to find a new jockey as my youngest has outgrown him. He has taught both my daughters so much and given them some fantastic experiences. This is an extremely tough decision and he will only go to a 5*, knowledgeable, kind home. We are in no hurry to find him his next best friend. He is a real character and a pleasure to have at home. He makes us laugh so much. Archie has done everything at Pony Club with both my daughters - junior and senior camps (inc stay aways), SJ where he will seldom knock a pole and XC where he just has a brilliant time and jumps his heart out. He does a nice dressage test. He has done some basic WH where he has done well as he is a pretty pony. He has qualified for Trailblazers at 55cm 3 years in a row. He is on our school equestrian team with the NSEA and has been talent spotted for this year’s TSR. He jumps up to 50/60 nicely and he does love to jump. He will hack alone or in a group. He isn’t bothered by traffic at all and behaves beautifully on the road. He can get a bit excited on ‘exciting’ hacks such Cannock Chase but nothing nasty/never bolts. He just gets joggy. He has been to the beach where he just loved the whole thing and went into the water and for long canters sensibly. He loves the gallops. He enjoys being groomed and fussed. He will travel alone or with others, in a trailer or a box. He travels well. He will stand on a trailer and wait his turn. He is fab with the farrier, the dentist, being clipped and for the vet. He loves his physio sessions. He is snaffle mouthed at all times. Never needs sedation. He can be left alone whilst his stable companions go out. He has been in group turnout on a livery yard but now he’s at home and has his own paddock and is happy. He does require limited turn out as he has had a couple of flare ups of laminitis over the years but careful monitoring and weight management has kept this under control. Happy to discuss more. Archie does not like being on a lead rein and needs a confident little jockey so he is not a first pony. He will suit someone as a second pony. POA. Open to vetting. No time wasters. This is a heartbreaking sale and ponies like Archie are hard to find. Loads more photos and videos available. Pls phone for more details.
