- Perfect all rounder / pony club / hunting small cob / mother daughter share. 14 hands, 6 year old, grey mare. “Amber” is every mothers dream. She would make an ideal hunting cob as she is a “leg in each corner” type and hack all day long on the buckle end. Seen hounds and completely unphased and remained mannerly to ride at the back or front. Since owning her we have been hound exercising, on beach rides, cross country, pony club events and more. She has also been used in our riding school by children of all ages and abilities. Never strong nor silly, Amber is snaffle mouthed at all time whether that’s in a big open field with other horses or on her own. She wasn’t phased by hounds and will happily stay at the back of the pack without being silly. 110% to box, clip and hack - she is the type that isn’t phased by any types of traffic. Currently barefoot and has strong sturdy feet. In the school she will pop a fence easily without catapulting her riders and will happily trot or canter around a set of showjumps. Isn’t a world beater at the moment jumping but she improves daily, doing bounces and distances in pony club lessons. Responsive off the leg, Amber doesn’t need a million pony club kicks to get her going but equally won’t be silly if her riders do kick a little too much! For our older riders, we carry a whip and she picks up the pace but remains easy to slow down. We don’t have her working in an outline but with some schooling this would come and hasn’t been forced due to her age. Perfect home sought for this much loved pony and that is more important than price. All tack included but happy to sell without. No loans, LWVTB or payment plans. However we are open to sensible offers on her asking price for a good home.
