Description
We have owned Minx for 3 years and I am devastated to say that my daughter has outgrown her. Minx has made all my daughters dreams come true and this will truly be a heart breaking sale. Hacking Minx is literally perfect to hack. She goes first or last, alone or in company and never fizzes up. She is amazing in the heaviest of traffic, and is great with all tractors and farm machinery. Nothing phases her and she is not at all spooky. Minx can lead another horse or can be led from another horse. My daughter also likes to ride her bareback in just a headcollar. Minx never bucks, rears, spins or naps. Showjumping. Minx absolutely loves to jump. She has taken my daughter from cross poles to winning most weekend at 70cms. She is the most comfortable at 60 - 70cms and I feel that 80cms would be her maximum. She is not overly strong when jumping, but she is fast in a jump off when asked, and has amazing turns. Minx has qualified for and competed at Stoneleigh British showjumping championships in the club classes for the last two years and also won the silver medal in the Cricklands championships of GB last year. She has won many local show jumping series competitions and never comes home without a rosette. Cross country Minx has attended many pony club cross country training days and has absolutley loved them. She is bold and brave, jumps up and down steps, over ditches and through water. She has also done a couple of arena eventing shows which has proved to be no problem for her. Fun rides and hunting Minx has done countless fun rides, including Badmington. She is impeccably behaved, last year attending them all in a snaffle. She jumps everything asked of her and thoroughly enjoys herself. We quite often take minx to the beach, sometimes with just one or two horses and sometimes in a large crowd and she is brilliant. Still doesn't get overly excited or fizzy, my daughter gallops her on the beach with no hands. We have hunted her 3 times and she didnt put a foot wrong and stood when needed to. Mounted games Another discipline where Minx has proved to be a superstar. Minx has done pony club mounted games for the last two years, She has attended areas, Zones and also the pony club championships in 2021 and 2022.She was in a junior team but also rode up in a senior team last year and still got to the champs. Her senior team also qualified to ride in the royal welsh last year and got to ride in the main ring. the very large crowd didnt phase minx at all. She stands on the line, she takes hand overs, gives handovers and is not scared of any equipment at all. The only thing minx has never done with us is a dressage competition as my daughter is not at all interested in this. Her flat work is not bad as she regularly attends pony club rallies and we have a school at home where we do some flat work. But not something we take too seriously. Minx is great to take away to stay away shows. She never stresses and is always calm. Last summer she literally travelled the whole of the UK between the showjumping and the games shows and she never caused any trouble. She will happily stay away in stables or in a pen. Aslong as she's got her hay she doesn't care where she is or who she is with. She travel's long distances with no problem, took us 7 hours to get to a show last summer and I didn't hear a peep out of her. Minx is a real sweetheart to handle, my daughter does everything with her. She is kind and gentle and hasn't got a nasty bone in her body. She is good to catch, clip, and bath. She doesn't like her ears being clipped and she's a bit fidgety when washing her legs, and that's as bad as it gets. I seriously cannot fault this pony in any way, and it is a really hard decision to let her go, so serious enquiries only and 10*homes only. Homes will be vetted and I will not be letting her go to anyone who I feel is not suited to her. I am in no rush to sell her and it doesn't matter if she stays with us for this summer, the right home is paramount.
