100% honest advert! Please read full advert before contacting me. Absolutely no dealers please. Spice is an absolutely fantastic pony, when in work she flys around 105cm SJ courses with scope to go with the right rider, I schooled her around BE 100 fences at Oxtalls XC, she also did a couple of the BE novice combinations with ease! I have done Preliminary dressage with her where she scored 65%+ consistently. I also did a Pony Club ODE 80cm this summer where she was amazing and we were the only combination in the team that didn’t get eliminated. Spice absolutely loves fun rides, when fit she would happily trot and canter 10 miles without tiring. I feel she would make a fab endurance pony or pony race pony. I am 5ft7 and 9stone and Spice carries me fine however I feel for jumping she would benefit from a smaller/ lighter rider as I unbalance her when jumping bigger. Now the honest bit... Spice has been out regular work for 5 months, she had a very slightly rotated pelvis which was treated by a physio, this is not an issue that will effect her but after this I have struggled with time management and keeping her in work as I have two other horses to look after and keep in work. Spice has been hacked out once to twice a week over the past few months. Spice can also read, when she’s in little to no work she will rear more than when she’s in full work. I have had everything checked and nothing is wrong with her. It’s just a quirk she has that obviously anyone interested needs to be aware of. She is not in anyway dangerous but a nervous rider would not be suitable due to this. I have never felt unsafe on her and I just push her on out of the rear and she’s absolutely fine. When coming back into work she may also buck going into canter but she never does this once she’s fit. I have no trial facilities so she is sold from the field however anyone interested could take her on a hack if they wanted to to get a feel for her. I want to find her the absolute best home possible as this pony means the world to me but I have come to the realisation that I really don’t have the time to put into her and it’s her that’s suffering. This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a limited budget to buy a been there done it competition pony for a very very good price but please be aware that she will need time to be brought back into work. I am not asking much as the home is much more important.
