- Sadly for sale, our much-loved, been-there-done-it Pony Club pony George (Marons Tarquin). George is a 17 year old, 13.1hh Welsh section B gelding. We bought George last year for my youngest daughter to do all PC activities on but she has completely lost interest. His previous owners were Mendip Farmers PC members and he is well-known there and participated in camps, rallies, XC, SJ, dressage and team competitions. He has been to a few Banwell PC rallies with us, lots of hacking and a fun ride. He has always been perfectly well behaved. He is bombproof in open spaces and excellent in all types of traffic. He is great to clip, catch, shoe and box. We have used him to teach a completely novice 8 year old girl to ride, taking her from lead rein to now jumping a little course of showjumps, xc jumps out in the field and cantering. He can be lazy in the school but will step up a gear for rallies, jumping and hacking. We are selling George with a full wardrobe, including a Monarch GP saddle bought last year. George is up to date with teeth, worming, vaccinations and farrier.
