15.3hh 2019 grey mare. Rosie is the epitome of ‘old head on young shoulders’.
Rosie has been to a couple of shows, jumping two clears her first time out. She’s also XC trained in Ireland upto 1m.
She’ll hack alone, in company in front, middle, behind! We’ve been for gallops and trailered out, she’ll lead older horses past whatever they’re having a flap about.
She moves beautifully but her flatwork is still a bit green because we don’t school much due to her age. No novices as she’s still a baby and she is forward going.
On the ground she’ll be your best friend and mug you constantly for pats and cuddles / try and help you poo pick.
We don’t have her breeding recorded, but we believe she’s Connie x ID. Her breeder (thinks) she was by Connemara stallion Moonlight Silver Shadow.
She fell asleep to be clipped and only got fidgety on her head and legs. She’s still a fidgety baby for the farrier and I’ve left her barefoot not because she’s a pain but because she’s coping so well even with lots of hacking and it’s a lot cheaper!
The transporter from Ireland said he could have unloaded her on the M25. She travels well and was loading herself until we started squashing her into the smaller trailer (a bucket of nuts still gets her straight on).
Passed a 5 stage vetting in September. Open to own vettings etc. Not in a huge rush to sell, price will increase with work.
Based Wingham, Canterbury
I have one or two horses in at a time. I keep them at least a month and they have vettings done when I buy them.
