- " NikNakPaddyWak aka. Paddy" This pony needs no introduction to those that have known me from the beginning! Paddy is 15 years old,13hh, unregistered welsh x cob. He was my first pony when he was 5 years old and I have followed his career and homes ever since. He has had a varied and successful career with 3 different homes since leaving me 6 years ago and has only ever been sold due to being outgrown which is again the case now in his current home. Paddy is a fantastic, alround pony club, competition pony. He has been part of South trent pony club with me and was a member of other pony clubs in previous homes. He has always been clipped out and plaited as a working hunter, hunter pony with excellent results throughout his ridden career. He absolutely loves to jump and has mainly showjumped the last year but has previously had masses of success both as a flat and working hunter pony with too many wins and championships to mention. He hacks alone and in company but can be a little fizzy if he is at the back. Nothing dangerous just tends to jog and be a little excitable. Not fazed by traffic etc and not at all spooky. Has been ridden this year by a total beginner both on and off the lead rein and was a true gentleman. However I don't feel this kind of life would be suited to him long term as he loves to jump, have fun and go fast! He can be strong if he doesn't have a rider with kind hands and this can sometimes un nerve a novice. He doesn't posses any malice and just wants to have fun. Has never been known to buck or rear. On the ground Paddy is a true sweetheart. Loves to be groomed, fussed and is excellent to clip, plait, farrier. Is up to date with physio, vaccinations and dentist Good to load and travel: has travelled on a variety of transport. Paddy is best suited to a pony club, competition home with a confident,quiet rider who wants to have fun and win lots of ribbons! I am honoured and delighted to be able to have him to sell and only the very best of homes need apply. It is a heartbreaking sale for his current owners It is very important to current owners and I that we keep in touch with new home. He is a very special boy with lots to give and everybody hates having to part with him. I could talk about this pony all day long so have tried to sum him up quickly.
