- Sam is an absolute sweetie and a real saint. He’s not spooky or phased by anything and is based on a busy competition yard but is equally fine on a smaller yards and used to be based on livery with a stable in the field at his previous Eventing home. He previously evented at BE90 and with me he’s done a variety of activities including camp, clinics, pole sessions, fun rides etc. He would love a home where he got to go to different places hacking, the beach and those sorts of things. He hacks alone and in company and is exactly the same with both. Prior to me he had been in the same home since the breeder. He isn’t fizzy and also doesn’t require riding everyday. To illustrate his laid back temperament I took him to the dressage area festivals on my own and he didn’t look at a thing. I also always take him out on my own to various events, shows etc and his behaviour is always immaculate. He’s a saint to do, easy for the vet, farrier, dentist. Easy to load and travels super quietly. Turns out with mares and geldings and currently with a Clydesdale mare! He passed a 5 stage vetting with X-rays 18 months ago. Sam can be described as an all rounder currently but I think longer term he would be better suited to a happy hacking home due to his age and some arthritis. If the potential buyer did want to maintain him as an all rounder then this would require ongoing investment with the next due in 6-12 months. This is a very honest ad as this lovely horse deserves the very best. Has a full wardrobe and will come with his tack and rugs. He is up to date with teeth, vaccinations, shoes etc. Tons more pics and videos on request.
