- Available for sale is Rosegate Set Fair (Woody): 14.2/3hh, 10yr old. dark bay British Riding Pony out of Dolphin Supreme. Woody is an absolutely stunning pony, a real head-turner with expressive, floaty paces. A versatile and exceptionally talented pony who has done everything asked of him in all disciplines. He has a great attitude to work and is an out and out competition pony. Dressage: Came 2nd at British Riding Club National Championships in his division. Competing at BD Novice, consistently scoring 68-69% and schooling towards Elementary. Qualified for Petplan Area Championships 2023 in both Prelim and Novice. He has the talent to go much further. He picks up new skills quickly and is responsive to his rider. Showjumping: Woody loves to jump and happily schools around 80/90cm, with scope to go higher. A rhythmical, balanced canter sees him navigate technical courses with ease. He has competed unaffiliated 70/80cm (including fillers) and is always in the ribbons. He has scope to go much further with his jumping career. Cross-Country: Schooling around 80/90cm XC with confidence, but needs a little more work to get him consistently through the water jumps. Once this is mastered fully, he has the makings of a super BE prospect. Showing: Woody is the ultimate head turner in the show ring. Holds himself naturally in an outline and has a coat that gleams. Again, potential to show at a much higher level but his current rider was more interested in dressage hence this is where he has excelled. Hacking: Woody is good in traffic and will hack all day long especially if he has a friend to go along with. In larger groups he prefers to be towards the front of the ride. He also hacks alone but prefers company. Good in open fields and can be cantered/galloped knowing he’ll come back to his rider when asked. On the ground: Woody catches first time every time and can be led by children with ease. He is good with the vet, dentist, farrier, to clip, bath and plait. Good to load and travels well. Up to date with vaccinations. Has no vices and has no medical issues. Woody would be suited to a competent jockey who wants to get out and about competing and winning! He’s the perfect boy and is ready to take a new jockey to new heights. He has a custom made dressage saddle and a K&M GP saddle which are available under separate negotiation.
