Description: 12hh 4yr (rising 5) old mare. Totally honest advert. We brought Millie purley for her temperament. She was supposed to be a step up from my daughters lead rein.We knew she was young and would need work. However I think she would suit a little older child that’s stronger/has firmer leg or she would be a perfect lead rein pony too! Millie is only 4, she’s extremely sweet but is green. She has a tendency to nap either towards any person, or the gate. My nervous 7yr old can get her away once she’s done this.. it’s not as though she refuses to move, She will quite happily go off again. She is fantastic on the ground, easy to catch/groom/load etc. we’ve only hacked her once (very short) nothing fazed her but she is forward. Previous owners told me they took her to an opening hunt meet where she was fine. I honestly believe with time and consistency she will make a cracking first ridden/pony club pony. Unfortunately she just requires more work then we anticipated and my daughters little arms/legs just aren’t strong enough. (I’ve had a 9yr old on her who managed to get her going nicely).
