This is a very hard and super sad sale, having owned Caramel for 3 years, she has become part of our family.
My 11 year old Daughter has now outgrown her and we want Caramel to make someone else as happy as she has made us.
Caramel is a 12.1, 10 year old pony who came over from Ireland, has some welsh in her. She is a beautiful dun, head turner, Disney like pony!
Caramel is a dream pony on the ground with children, adults and other horses/all animals. No vices, never sick or sorry. Good to load (in trailer or box), to clip, catch, shoe, vet, dentist, groom, turned out with mares or geldings. Has been stabled at night out during day, swapped during summer. A gentle pony with impeccable manners so that my five year old can handle her on his own (brings in from field, do rugs, pick out feet etc)
A once in a lifetime pony, taking my daughter from a true beginner on the lead rein to off lead rein doing NSEA, dressage comps, pony club rallies, camps, XC hunter trials, beach rides, loads of hacking….the lot.
Caramel has done NSEA SJ courses from 30-60cm. Caramel will jump 50cm courses happily, but is reluctant to go higher so we are seeking a varied home where she won’t be asked more than 60 other wise you will get refusals. She has also qualified and taken my daughter to the Hickstead Sunshine Tour.
Caramel is a whizzy type off the lead rein, but not sharp. Just forward with brilliant brakes. Not at all spooky, an unflappable type, brilliant to hack alone or in company and in traffic.
Caramel has taken my daughter to two pony camps, one where she stayed away and was a superstar.
Caramel is looking for a loving little rider, who is either on the lead rein wanting to learn how to ride and starting their pony journey, or a confident child looking for a forward first pony or second pony type. Caramel is not sharp but is forward going with excellent brakes. She is not a kick along / riding school pony. My children have just loved her, she has taught them how to ride and I have always felt they are safe with Caramel.
Jabs, teeth, back physio all up to date. Currently has front shoes but has also been barefoot. Can fidget a bit with hammer whilst being shod but literally just moves around a bit, I give her a hay net!
This pony has a very special place in our hearts so will only be sold to a five star home.
No time wasters as daughter desperately sad we have to move her on and if we had more grazing I would just keep her forever!
