- 🦄 Alfie 🦄 - looking for a fun loving family for LR. 33” Grey Miniature Shetland 5 year old Gelding We have owned Alfie since May 2022 and he has been a pleasure to own. He has got our 2 year old son to ride on the lead rein and we are only selling him as we have found a slightly bigger pony for him and we can’t keep him also. We have taken Alfie to shows/ pony club camp (not to compete but potter around) and also participated in a group lesson. We have never had any problems with Alfie on the lead rein, never flinched or shied, never bucked, even with a screaming child on board. Will hack out alone or in company and good in traffic. He would probably prefer to keep moving but it’s all been new to him this summer so will settle once in a routine and gets more experience. Alfie is good on the ground but can be a fidget. Only things he doesn’t like is dogs when they are in the field with him and is known to chase them! Alfie can also get sweet itch in the summer months, however if managed correctly it can be kept under control with a rug. There is a lot of improvement in him as he is still young and learning. He will be a lot of fun for another little person and family. £4,000 Rugs, and tack included.
