- Friars Touch of Gold bred by the popular Friars Stud. Jaffie is a super smart true working hunter pony but would be equally successful in a jumping / pony club home. Jaffie has spent the last 18 months as my daughters first ridden while being schooled by a more experienced 9 year old jockey. He has done countless jumping shows, working hunter, first ridden and dressage and has never been out of the top three taking several championship classes. Both have experienced huge success with him but occasionally he can become strong in the canter and this is too much for my daughter who is just six. I am happy to chat through what this looks like and the circumstances that this it has occurred in and it can also be discussed with the lady my daughter trains with who is a BHSI. He has never bucked and he doesn’t gallop off, he can just occasionally get strong and a small jockey will struggle when he does this which is why he is for sale. He loves jumping and this keenness could be well used for a bigger, competitive jumping child. He is a bombproof hack, fantastic to tie up and pamper and will jump any fillers. He moves beautifully and is a real head turner. As you can see from the photos this pony has given both our family and our friends child much joy but as he is only seven he needs to go to a home with a bigger more established child to school him through what I truly believe to be a young pony phase. If I had more time I would keep him to school on but I need to spend the time on a pony my daughter can continue her learning on. Endless photos and videos.
