- I bought Madame Shutterfly (Rio) as a young 4 year old in August 2021 to produce and sell and as much as I wish it was possible for me to keep her for myself, she is now very sadly for sale. I would love to keep the ride on her if anyone would allow me to do so! She is impeccably bred, by the stallion Sir Shutterfly who is the full brother of the legendary Shutterfly. She has 3 balanced paces, with a great attitude to work, works into the contact correctly. She is a compact little mare who is very agile on her feet. She has an extremely scopey jump and is very careful while still being very brave, she has had a few poles this season but they were all either my fault or just baby mistakes that will improve as she grows up and figures her legs out a little more. Rio went double clear in her first ever event and has had multiple top ten placings as well as going clear XC in her first BE100 round a very testing track at little downham. She has only had one XC fault in her entire first season eventing and is one of the most straightforward horses I have had the pleasure of riding round a XC course! She has confidently gone from BE80 to BE100 in one season even with a young rider like myself. She is easy to do, lives in or out and doesn’t change wether she has had a week off or has been ridden everyday. She hacks alone or in company, good to box and clip etc. She is a very sweet natured mare who loves a cuddle! She is definitely capable of moving up the grades but is also small enough and uncomplicated enough for a more inexperienced rider to do grassroots eventing, she would be an excellent all rounder but is obviously still green and so would not be suitable for a novice. 5* homes only for this special mare WhatsApp or text 07442 243840 for more info, pics and videos
