- We have owned popstar for 5 years having brought him as a five year old from Ireland for my daughter to produce. We brought him as a 128cm but let him measure out so that she had longer on him.
My daughter hasn't competed him for a couple of years as she is almost 15 and way too tall for him. She previously competed him BS qualifying for the British Novice Final at the British Showjumping National Championships ( Jumping treble clear in the 2nd round), qualified for the 138cm Bronze League final, qualified for the Blue Chips Championships and was 3rd in the Cats and Pipes Final at Scope in 2022. He has jumped up to 1m BS. He would measure as a 128cm but currentlyhas a LHC at 131cm.
When my daughter was too tall to ride him he went to a friend as a loan home where he jumped unaffiliated with a younger rider.
He is now back with us and my daughter is too tall for him. We have made the heartbreaking decision to sell him as he needs a new home and to be out competing.
This is an honest advert. Popstar is beautiful and talented. He is not a first competition pony. He is a big character and needs a competent rider. If the rider is scared so is he. He can be a little spooky. Has hunted in Ireland. Would do a lovely dressage test and is pretty enough to show. He can pull faces over the stable door and dance his way to the field when you turn him out.
He is currently not in work. But can be pulled out of field and ridden and will be fine.
Serious enquiries only as this is a very sad sale.
Would consider lease to the right home.
