- Beautiful 14hh cob mare looking for her new home! Penny is passported at 12 years old although dentist insisted she was no older than 8. She is a real people horse and loves attention. Always first at the gate to great you and will follow you around all day if she had the chance. Absolutely perfect on the ground, great to clip, for farrier, to load, bath or anything else you may want to do with her. She was a late starter as bred a few foals before her current home and coming to me for sales livery. Penny is a lovely forward ride, not lazy but never fizzy. She has an incredibly soft mouth and is schooling beautifully in a nice outline. She has been over a few jumps and is showing a lot of promise. 100% out hacking and not fazed by anything. Will happily go first or last and never gets strong or silly. She is still green and is more like a 4 year old due to her late start so please bear this in mind. She has been ridden by my 10 year old daughter a few times and would make a great kids pony or a mother daughter share. She really is a special pony that will thrive in any home that is willing to work in her education. Her only downside is that she can be a little cold backed - her girth needs to be tightened slowly and once on her she does occasionally put her back up but after a few steps in walk on a loose rein she relaxes completely. She does not do anything dangerous or silly and is better with lighter riders. More photos will be available tomorrow after she has been cross country schooling. She really will make someone a great pony and enjoys forming a bond with people. No nervous or novice riders though please as she needs someone who can educate her further.
