- Looking for an experienced home. Please read advert fully - serious enquires only Beautiful & Well bred 15.1hh 7yr old dun gelding A Cheeky chap & full of character CONNEMARA X WARMBLOOD (Lux Z/ Cloverhill) Hagrid was imported from Ireland as a unbroken 4yr and has been in the same home over 2 years, in that time he has competed in British Dressage scoring on average 65%, showjumping competitions, and has been on pleasure rides and XC schooling days. He is good to handle on the ground, ok to shoe (cold shod), good to clip, excellent to catch (mixed herd) and will load with patience on a trailer, however he is quicker to load onto a wagon but once he’s on, he travels very well. If he’s having a good day you’re winning and he’s lovely to ride. However, he has been known to spin, spook and nap when ridden on occasions. This used to be my type of ride but after just having a baby myself I’m after something like Bob the cob that I can just ride once or twice a week. Would possibly suit a hunting home? He’s good to hack and good in the traffic we’ve passed so far. He does gets a little more excited in a group especially in canter unless he’s upfront then drops back. We have only ever hacked along a lane alone. Up to date with vaccinations, worming, physio, dentist and farrier. No health problems or vices, low maintenance, sound and open to vet. (Passed a Vetting when I purchased him) Numerous videos and photos available. Must go to a knowledgeable home that understands him like me. He has huge potential with the right rider and someone that has time to put a bit of work in . Absolutely no beginners or novices
