Jack is a gorgeous, friendly, 13h Welsh section C. We have owned him since he was 3yrs and he has become part of the family. Jack is beautifully schooled, with a very balanced uphill canter and natural self carriage. He has started lateral work and is a very quick learner. He produces a lovely dressage test and has the potential to really move up the levels. He has just started working equitation and again demonstrates huge potential to excel.
Jack has a fantastic gallop, keeping up with most big horses which makes him brilliant fun for charging around the countryside on hacks, fun rides or hunting. He does not get silly and will go from a gallop to a relaxed long rein walk within a few strides. He is great in traffic, will go it alone or with others.
Jack has done all pony club activities; rallies, stay away camps etc. Although Jack has a great technique jumping he lacks confidence and requires confident riding and good placing at a fence. He qualified and competed at the pony club mini SJ champs and has won plenty of rosettes but it is not his favourite discipline.
Jack is very easy to keep, he lives out year round, is bare foot over all terrains, good to catch, clip, trim, load and with the vet (doesn’t even notice a needle).
Jack is still young and is a typical Welsh in character, he would suit a confident child or small adult (he takes up the leg very well). That said he is excellent on the lunge, lead rein and to lead from the ground or another horse.
