- Sadly for sale 12yrs 147cms Connemara pony by the popular grade A stallion Ross Fear Bui. Rossa is a fantastic natured pony who is kind and willing and is only for sale as my son has outgrown him. We have owned him for 3 years and he has been used predominantly for showjumping but is a great all rounder who is well schooled and loves xc. He is very clever and picks up things quickly. He has good lateral work, changes and would produce a nice relaxed test as he works in a lovely rhythm and would catch the eye with his striking looks. He is happy jumping into water, with ditches, trakehners and corners. He isn’t spooky and never looks at fillers. He would make a great event/pony club/ tetrathlon/NSEA pony for a progressive child and would equally be suited to an adult to have fun on as he really takes up the leg. He hasn’t hunted with us but I can’t see why he wouldn’t. He is currently ridden by both mother and son. I would consider him to be a 2nd pony who is ridden by us in a snaffle. He is nicely responsive to the aids and easy off of the leg, he isn’t gassy at all and is great hacking alone, in company and in open spaces and moorland. He is happy hacking through sheep and cattle. He is great with gates and to get on and off. He has never bucked or reared, is great to box, shoe, clip, and in traffic. He has no vices. He is just the same if you have ridden every day or not for 2 weeks. He really is the easiest pony to have around. I have never seen his ears back at anyone or any other horse and he is a delight at shows standing quietly in the box or settling in strange stables. He is great in the warm up ups and is not worried about other horses approaching him. He will only be available to the best of homes. Based on the southwest, 40 minutes from Exeter.
